The story of CPAC is very interesting. Unlike any other organizations, CPAC idea was born on social media discussions and took its initial form as organization in social media itself. Then transformed to current form by the concerned citizens of Chittoor. The CPAC which stands for Chittoor People’s Action Committee is a group of people (software engineers, retired persons, students, NRIs, Charted Accountants, advocates, research scholars, etc.) from Chittoor who are concerned about Chittoor neighbourhood and its development. CPAC is being registered under society registration act.

CPAC’s main object is better Chittoor neighbourhood.  CPAC is a platform for those who wish to be a problem solver instead of being a part of problem. We believe in the saying -“More than looking for solutions, what we need today is to increase the number of problem-solving people. Each one of us can be a change-maker” by Dr.Ashwin.

What we do: Identify the local issues, work towards solving those issues

CPAC has taken its first step with decentralized development concept by proposing workable solution for Chittoor development with proposal for a separate urban development authority for Chittoor neighbourhood along with a proposal for required amendments of urban development authority act. Second initiative was identifying long pending projects in the area, finding the root cause for the delays and tried to solve few issues; third one is making Chittoor Smart City, in this process we launched Smart City portal (on http://technagara.in/ platform) for Chittoor with the help of Ex-NASA Scientist Dr. Ashwin Mahesh and was launched by district Superintendent of Police. Then program called GURU is launched to provide carrier guidance to the young in the region. Another program is social-cultural event “Ullas – The celebration” was organised by CPAC, to give a platform for local talent to showcase their capability and The event had 1500+ audience,50+ volunteers,5+ chief guests,130+ participants including group performances which took place in a beautiful place for 4hours.

We are working on transforming the government school and few slums by conducting swatch bharat program, deploying computer aided learning tools.

Additional, we have good bunch of solution based RTI activists, who relentlessly gathers information, analyze, identify the problem and propose a constructive solution for the identified problem. In continuation to this effort we also conduct social audits to identify the issues at ground level and work to resolve those issues with the help of officials.  And lot more things in pipeline.
