Today morning Chittoor People’s Action Committee (CPAC) team had visited for two hrs, govt headquarters hospital on social audit..And happened to be at mortuary. There are hardly any working freezer boxes,but 2 dead bodies are there.
One body said to be of 70yrs aged male is lying openly since 22nd brought by kanipakam police..since then none didnt turn up it seems.
One Mr.GOPI PC police outpost at hospital duty had shared the above informed with me. He told he had also talked to Kanipakam PS many times but in-vain.
“Immediately I called Kanipakam SI on his mobile,and inquired as to why they are silent,once thrown here”, says Mr.Rambabu, President of CPAC. “I am unhappy about his reckless irresponsible answer,as if I am troubling him.I told him that if the body is not allowed to cremate within half an hour , I will inform to district Superintendent of Police”, he added.
“The vehicle more 28 months old had plied less than 5000 kms till now. It is a public property,meant for public used as Ambulance. But unfortunately due to gross negligence,irresponsibility etc.,the road tax is pending due for the last 2 years and it is ever used for common patients..All the time it is plied as convoy to Ministers,as evident from kms reading..Officials and people representatives shall be held responsible for this gross negligence”, says Mr.Rambabu of CPAC, who incidentally is also Chittoor Constituency President for Loksatta Party also warned, “Don’t enjoy social status with people’s money but with people’s heart”.
The second ambulance had already plied more than 3.75 lakh kms and is very sick.but nobody cares for its maintenance but only used for common patients..
